New Business Web Portal:

As part of its activities to help spread information on available finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), USAID BEP began development of an interactive business web portal,, which will be hosted by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.  The portal is expected to launch in early January.  The portal will include modules for Access to Finance (with content provided by USAID BEP), and B2B offer/demand, European Entrepreneurship Network, technical legislation, Chamber’s business info service (content developed by the Chamber).  The Chamber will be responsible for updating the information in the portal.  The portal will be especially useful for SMEs as it will provide information in various areas that are necessary for doing business.  The Access to Finance section of the portal will allow companies to find possible sources of financing for their investment needs, including SME state-supported programs.  It will also provide SMEs with online tools for ratio calculations and educational materials that improve financial management skills.
